History of the Information Consulting Center of the Central Library and Documentation Center:
The Information Consulting Department, Central Library and Documentation Center of Kerman University of Medical Sciences, started operating in January 2019 in line with the university's educational and research activities, with the aim of providing services to the respected members of the faculty, students and researchers. This center meets the information needs of the clients through two-way interaction (consultant, user).
This department is located on the ground floor of the library and is ready to respond in person and in person by registering a consultation request on the center's website.Information Consulting
Center Services:
• Participation in designing systematic review search strategies and supporting complex research projects, guidance in developing search strategies, improving users' search skills, assistance in selecting appropriate keywords for searches, assistance in selecting databases appropriate to the discipline and subject areas
• Providing tailored consulting services in research planning, professional search, data management, scientific writing, and research ethics
• Providing educational content, centralized information resources, and innovative information dissemination methods
• Capacity building for librarians and information consultants through advanced training in database searching, systematic review strategies, evidence-based medicine, and applications of artificial intelligence
• Familiarity with citation styles, training in the use of citation software including Endnote, Mendeley, ...
• Providing solutions to identify reputable journals, guiding users in finding suitable journals to submit articles, introducing invalid and fake journals
• Setting up and managing the Artificial Intelligence Research Center, creating a dedicated platform for introducing, training and supporting artificial intelligence tools in health science research
How to access the Information Consulting Center services:
Respected researchers can send their questions and requests by completing the forms available on the Information Consulting Center website in the consultation request section in person and in person to the address https://infocunsult.kmu.ac.ir. The response time to the request is 24 to 48 working hours from Saturday to Wednesday, excluding official holidays.
